911 Enable Announces Educational Webinars on Pending California and Michigan E911 Legislation

Webinars will provide an overview of pending E911 legislation for organizations using Multi-line Telephone Systems (MLTS) in California and Michigan.

Montreal, QC – June 8, 2011 – 911 Enable, a division of Connexon Telecom, Inc., today announced it will present two webinars, entitled “Understanding the Proposed E911 Regulations in California,” and “Understanding the Proposed E911 Regulations in Michigan,” on July 5, 2011 and July 7, 2011 respectively.

Though MLTS provides organizations with advanced communications features and cost savings, it can create a number of problems when it comes to E911. To help ensure workplace safety, many states are implementing E911 legislation that obligates organizations to provide their employees with a specific level of E911 support. Two states, California and Michigan, are close to implementing E911 legislation of their own, each with specific requirements and obligations for organizations using MLTS.

The 911 Enable webinars will provide a complete overview of each state's pending MLTS E911 legislation, and how organizations can meet their E911 obligations in a simple and cost-effective manner. Recommended attendees include:

Organizations with on-premises MLTS systems
Resellers/system integrators/consultants offering MLTS systems
Manufacturers of on-premises MLTS systems

The webinar series will be presented by Lev Deich, Technical Director of 911 Enable. After the presentation, there will be an open question and answer session, where attendees can put forward any additional questions they may have. Additionally, 911 Enable has released white papers which summarize the proposed E911 legislation for each state. To download the white paper for California, click here.
